Surah yasin is one of the most favorite surah of the holy Quran.  Its recitation and memorization is very important. Actually, the holy Quran is replete with kindness, blessings, and the reward in every letter.

The Prophet of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said:

"Everything has a heart and the heart of the Qur'an is Yasin. Whoever recites Surah Yasin, Allah Almighty will write for him the reward of reciting the Qur'an ten times."

The Quran may be read in its entirety ten times by reading Surah Yasin.! Imagine starting or ending your day with the reward of reciting the entire Quran in a few minutes.

Whoever recites Surah yaseen, Allah Ta’ala gives him a reward equivalent to reciting the entire Qur’an ten times.”

The Prophet (PBUH) once said:

He who recites Surah Yasin will be forgiven. One who recites it in a state of hunger becomes satiated. Whoever reads it loses his way, finds his way. Whoever reads it upon losing an animal, finds it. When one reads it that his food will be reduced, that food becomes enough. If one recites it to a dying person, it becomes easy for him. If one recites it on a woman facing difficulty in childbirth, her delivery becomes easier.

The heart of the Quran

Our Prophet Muhammad said:

"Undoubtedly, there is at least a little kindness in everything, and the core of the Qur'an is Surah Yasin. I want it to be in the heart of every follower of my Ummah."
  • This Hadith shows the importance of reading Surah Yasin, some of which is the heart of the Qur’an. And our Prophet exhorts us to read it. Surah Yaseen brings peace and tranquility to whoever recites it. Reciting Surah Yasin will give you a lot of reward. Therefore, from this Hadith, we know the importance of this Surah and that it is the center of the Holy Quran, the reading of which gives us many rewards.

By reading surah yaseen, our sins are erased

Although things that our Prophet (peace be upon him) taught us about reciting surah yasin we can see in the following hadith:

“Whoever debates surah yasin in the evening seeking the confirmation of Allah, Allah will forgive him.”

Reciting surah yasin in the middle of the night and asking Allah for help and seeking forgiveness and mercy, Allah will answer our calls and reward us. More importantly, recite surah yasin with the belief that Allah will help.

  • In general, reciting the Qur’an calms the mind and gives us peace. Imagine how you would feel if you read Surah Yasin with full faith that Allah will forgive us. You will get total peace of mind.
    • So, whatever you do and whatever mistakes or sins you commit, just keep asking Allah’s forgiveness and try your best to avoid repeating the same mistake again. Allah will forgive, have faith.

There are many rewards for us

Another Hadith describes the reward of reciting Surah Yasin:

"Whoever follows Surah Yasin, Allah gives him a reward equal to the recitation of the entire Qur'an."

No explanation is needed in the Hadith, reading Surah Yasin is like reading the entire Quran. This reward gives you more than you can imagine. Therefore read Surah Yasin daily, you will get reward.
