Social Media Image Sizes

Resize an image to the right size for Instagram, X, LinkedIn, YouTube or Pinterest — with the sizes dated, so you can see when they were last checked. Your file never leaves this page. Everything happens in your browser, and there is no upload endpoint to send it to — that is checked by a build gate that fails if any network code reaches a tool’s bundle.

How to do it

  1. Drop your image onto the box.
  2. Pick the platform and the placement.
  3. Choose which part of the picture to keep, then download.

Questions

Are these sizes current?

Each list carries the date it was checked, which is shown on the page. Platforms change these without announcing it, so a tool that simply asserts the numbers are right is making a claim it cannot support — check before a launch that matters.

Why is my picture cropped?

Because a platform size is a shape as well as a number, and your image is almost certainly a different shape. The page says how much is cropped, and you choose which part is kept.

What about the safe areas?

Several sizes have them — a story has interface at the top and bottom, a YouTube banner is cropped differently on every device, and an X header has your avatar over the lower left. Each preset says so when you hover it.
