Combine PDF

Put several PDF files together into a single one. Useful for assembling a report from parts, or turning a folder of separate scans into one document. Your file never leaves this page. Everything happens in your browser, and there is no upload endpoint to send it to — that is checked by a build gate that fails if any network code reaches a tool’s bundle.

How to do it

  1. Choose all the PDFs you want in the finished file.
  2. Arrange them. The list is the document — first in the list is first in the PDF.
  3. Combine, then download.

Questions

What is the difference between merging and combining?

Nothing. They are two words for the same operation, and this page and the merge page are the same tool. Both exist because people search for both.

Will the bookmarks and links survive?

Links within a page survive. Document-level bookmarks generally do not carry across a merge, because they point into a page numbering that has just changed.

Can I combine a Word document or an image?

Not on this page — it takes PDFs. For pictures there is a separate tool that lays images out as PDF pages.

Is the combined file uploaded anywhere?

No. The whole operation happens inside this page, in your browser.
