Build a Markdown table from a spreadsheet, a CSV, or a table you already have. Your file never leaves this page. Everything happens in your browser, and there is no upload endpoint to send it to — that is checked by a build gate that fails if any network code reaches a tool’s bundle.
How to do it
- Paste your data — from a spreadsheet, as CSV, or as an existing Markdown table.
- Set the alignment for each column.
- Press Copy and paste it into your README.
Questions
Can I edit a table I already have?
Yes. Paste the existing Markdown table and it is read back in, alignment included, so you can change it rather than retype it.
What happens to a pipe inside a cell?
It is escaped. Markdown has no quoting, so an unescaped pipe ends the cell and every row below it misaligns — this is the one thing a table generator has to get right.
Can a cell contain a line break?
A Markdown table cell cannot hold a real line break, so one becomes <br> — the one tag every Markdown renderer allows inside a table.
