Split PDF

Turn a PDF into one file per page. Drop it in, and every page comes back as its own document, ready to download separately. Your file never leaves this page. Everything happens in your browser, and there is no upload endpoint to send it to — that is checked by a build gate that fails if any network code reaches a tool’s bundle.

How to do it

  1. Add the PDF. The tool reads it and tells you how many pages it has.
  2. Press Split. Each page becomes its own PDF.
  3. Download the ones you need — they are listed in order.

Questions

Can I choose which pages to split out?

Not on the free tool. Splitting every page needs no decisions and is what this page does. Naming particular pages — 1-3, 4-8, one file per range — is a Pro feature, and the code for it is not in this page at all rather than sitting here switched off.

How many pages can it split at once?

Fifty. Each page is built as a separate document, one after another, and beyond about that many the browser slows to a crawl and the list of downloads stops being usable. A longer document is refused with its page count and a reason, not silently truncated.

Does splitting change the pages?

No. Pages are copied across without being decoded, so each file is identical to the corresponding page of the original. Text stays selectable, images stay as they were.

What about a password-protected PDF?

Its pages cannot be read by any tool until it is unlocked, so it is refused with that reason rather than producing empty files.
