Markdown to HTML

Convert Markdown to HTML in your browser, with GitHub-style tables, code fences, task lists and automatic links. Your file never leaves this page. Everything happens in your browser, and there is no upload endpoint to send it to — that is checked by a build gate that fails if any network code reaches a tool’s bundle.

How to do it

  1. Paste your Markdown.
  2. Press Convert to HTML.
  3. Press Copy.

Questions

Which flavour of Markdown is this?

CommonMark with GitHub’s common extensions — tables, strikethrough and autolinking — which is what most people already have in their heads.

Can I include raw HTML in my Markdown?

Yes. Markdown permits it by specification, and it is passed through.

Is anything uploaded?

No. The compiler runs in your browser. It is downloaded only on this page, because it is large enough that the other tools should not carry it.
